The Plot

The grudge between devils and ancient humans had lasted for thousands of years. War after war was fought costing the lives of many humans and devils. No one was truly sure how it all began. The past ancestors were already long dead but fighting was all anyone knew.  Following the defeat of the past devil king, Dekir Azaroth, the devils were forced to relocate into another world. This had marked the end of the long war between the humans and devils.

Year 2028, any memory or traces of devils were erased from the minds of most humans by the current Devil King, Cenos. Jayden (or your own chosen name) is an 18 year old who helps people expecting to be rewarded every time but nothing ever goes right for him. On a certain eventful night, his hand suddenly catches fire and he is approached by a mysterious girl proposing a "Contract". Thinking this was his chance to finally get a girlfriend, he accepts everything without hesitation. Unbeknownst to him, this decision would throw him head first into the new age of devils.

 Main Characters

   

From living quite the uninteresting life to becoming a half-devil and the pillar of the Azaroth Family, the simple desire for a woman's affection has gotten you mixed up in some dangerous affairs involving fights and strange developing powers. On the bright side, you got what you wanted (kind of).

                                           

The stoic and straightforward, sometimes compassionate oldest sister of the formerly dominant Azaroth Family. As the eldest, she takes it upon herself to protect her sisters by all means. Even if that means involving a human in devil matters.

                                   

The energetic and slightly deranged youngest sister of the Azaroth Family. Being the youngest sibling, she is usually kept away from any battles which caused her to develop a strange attachment to fighting. She also loves sweets, of course.

                          

The refined and proper middle child of the Azaroth sisters.  Truthfully speaking, she is anything but that though. Apparently, she is very good at putting up a front. Her hobby in playing piano certainly helps with that.

About Me

Hi, I am Renki!

Going into making Song of Darkness, I was as fresh as a newborn bird. I had no idea how to do anything like using Ren'Py (Which lucky for all of us, it's incredibly simple to use.) Over time, I learned all the basics of Ren'Py and I managed to implant the base vision I had for Song of Darkness into it. There are still many things I'm trying to figure out how to do and so much I've imagined for Song of Darkness to make it stand out compared to other VN's. Going forward with the development of this VN, it will be my own self improvement journey. But despite my lack of experience in making a VN, I hope you try out and enjoy Song of Darkness because if there's one thing I can do right now, it's building an interesting and fun story.
